One of the leaders of the national team, Emils Wassermanis, won the main prize of the competition, leaving his teammate Lauri Strautmanis in second place. The two leaders of the day were also our men in the basic exercise – Emīls and Lauris. 3rd place for Rihard Zorg, 4th place for Ernest Erb.
The competition was attended by 100 participants from the USA, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Scotland and Finland.
In the women’s race, Agate Rashmane was the undefeated leader in all starts. Rūta Leila Springe 3rd place, Anita Krieķe-Yermacāne 4th place, Ilze Blanka 6th place.

Among the juniors, Kristiana Agule was the convincing winner in all starts. A 2nd place each for Sania Didža and Aneta Keita Biķerniece. Alisa Dvariškė 3rd place. 4th place for Jana Anija Lindberg.
Juniors Kārlis Bleidel and Daniel Vilcins each won, Dmitrij Ivanovs took 4th place.
The competition was the first phase of the Latvian national team’s preparation for the European Championship, which will be held in Gijor, Hungary, from February 24 to March 3. Emīls Wassermanis and Lauris Strautmanis, on the other hand, will travel to the World Championships in Egypt next week from January 24th to 27th to collect points for the Olympic rankings.
