In addition to the iHeal 5 and iHeal 5R devices, kospetfit has launched a new smart ring. As with smartwatches, the manufacturer promises many functions in an even more compact format, but you have to take this with caution.
According to Kospetfit’s press release, the new iHeal ring is able to measure blood pressure, among other things. However, readers should approach these claims with a certain degree of skepticism, as this is not a medical device and manufacturers of cheap wearables often promise a lot but fall short in terms of accuracy or even function.
The other advertised features of the Kospetfit iHeal ring are said to be more reliable. The smart ring should, among other things, be able to measure heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) and thus provide a basic overview of the user’s health. There is also talk of sleep tracking and various sports modes. Thanks to the IPX8 standard, the iHeal ring, which weighs 5 g and is 3.3 mm thick, is also waterproof and can therefore be worn during water sports.
The manufacturer claims a battery life of 7 days with normal use. If you buy the Power Bank charging station ($10 extra), you can even go up to 100 days without a power outlet, something the earphones have been able to do for some time.
The new iHeal ring is available directly from Kospetfit. According to the manufacturer, the recommended retail price is $199.99. Thanks to a $100 discount, the smart ring is currently just $99.99. It is available in silver black or ceramic white and in four sizes from 49 to 68 mm.
