At that time, her ligaments were severed and her ankle swelled to twice its size. Not only did the doctor advise her to focus on recovery, but her grandmother also warned her, “If you don’t want to walk, just keep dancing!” Li Yaying had no choice but to quit to focus on recovery and the Focus on returning to work. When she came to Taiwan, the differences in food and culture didn’t worry her. Instead, she was more afraid of the language barrier. Luckily, she had a translator around her, and in order to interact directly with Taiwanese fans, she also hired a one-on-one Chinese teacher in South Korea. However, she admitted that she had just started taking lessons and could only say simple words like “Don’t understand” and “Thank you.” The sound was a big challenge for her and she shouted, “It’s harder to pronounce ㄩ than ㄕ!”
