More than 5,000 people are affected by floods in districts of 11 departments of the country, reported this Wednesday the director of Health Services Development, Dr. Derlis León.
He added that more than 1,000 people were treated by medical professionals from the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare. Finally, he explained that the assistance was mainly due to gastrointestinal and respiratory problems of the families who live in the areas affected by the floods.
The National Government, through the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare and the National Emergency Secretariat, mainly assisted the families affected by the flooding of the Paraná and Tebicuary rivers.
Furthermore, in the area of Guaicá, department of San Pedro, families were left out in the open as a result of the consequences left by the tornado that hit the place.
