New York Supreme Court Contempt Case Update
Justice Juan Merchan, the New York Supreme Court judge presiding over the case, has once again found former President Trump in contempt. In a recent ruling on Monday, Merchan warned Trump that any further violations of the court’s orders could result in jail time. This comes after Trump’s latest violation of a gag order, prompting Merchan to issue a stern warning.
Merchan’s Warning to Trump
During the hearing, Justice Merchan directly addressed Trump, stating, “Your repeated disregard for this court’s lawful directives poses a threat to the proper functioning of our legal system. Your continuous attacks on the rule of law cannot be tolerated any longer.” Merchan emphasized that he will not allow Trump’s actions to impede the administration of justice.
Merchan’s firm stance reflects the seriousness of the situation and the potential consequences that Trump may face if he continues to defy the court’s orders.
Implications of the Contempt Ruling
The ongoing contempt proceedings against Trump highlight the challenges of ensuring compliance with court orders, especially in high-profile cases. Merchan’s decision to hold Trump accountable for his actions sends a strong message about the importance of upholding the rule of law.
As the case unfolds, it will be crucial to monitor how Trump responds to the court’s rulings and whether he complies with the legal requirements moving forward.

Launching the “Hajj Aid” service to enable seasonal work during Hajj 1445 AH
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia launched the “Hajj Aid” service for this year 1445 AH, which enables establishment owners to benefit from the workforce on seasonal contracts during the Hajj period.
The Ministry called on Saudis and residents wishing to work in the Holy Sites during the Hajj season to upload their CVs through the “Bab Ajeer” platform, which brings together job seekers and vacancy holders in one space, as part of the efforts made to organize work and facilitate procedures for establishments and workers during the Hajj seasons.
Services provided to the guests of God
This initiative comes within the Ministry’s plan to improve the level of services provided to the pilgrims and enhance their experience during the blessed season, as the Ministry obliges establishments to issue a Hajj permit to individuals working seasonally, while emphasizing that violators will be subject to the penalties stipulated in accordance with the system.
The “Hajj Ajir” service provides establishments with the ability to issue work permits and employ Saudis and residents temporarily, and allows them to display job vacancies during the Hajj season through the platform. It also allows job seekers to review and apply for these opportunities.
“Ajir Al Hajj” seeks to achieve a number of goals, including enhancing the flexibility of the workforce and raising its efficiency in the market, providing flexible work solutions, and reducing dependence on external recruitment. The service is available electronically in a simplified manner for establishments and individuals via the website: [أجير الحج] ( ).

“That goes on for miles here”: King Charles over the moon with handwritten coronation scroll

A year later, King Charles received a beautiful souvenir of his coronation ceremony. All events of May 6, 2023, the day on which Charles was officially inaugurated as King of the United Kingdom, are recorded on one 21-meter-long paper roll: the Coronation scroll.
The coronation role is a British tradition that has been going on for more than 700 years, but it is still a first. For the first time in the history of the British Kingdom, vegan paper was used and there will also be a digital version. Which is entirely according to tradition: the text of the official document is still completely handwritten. A feat, especially if you know how long it is.
“That goes on for miles,” King Charles joked when he was shown the 21 meter long paper roll for the first time. About 11,500 frivolously written words adorn the paper. Monastic work by Antonia Romeo, the representative of the British crown to the government. She worked 56 days in a row to complete the coronation scroll, she told BBC. “It was very intense, but the result feels like a work of art.” (GLI)
