(MENAFN – Iris Media Press Services) Al Ain: A number of female students from the United Arab Emirates University achieved outstanding results at the competitions of the Fourth Cultural Forum for Female Students in Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries, held at Sultan Qaboos University in Sultanate of Oman, from January 6th to 9th, 2024 under the theme “Leadership and Empowerment Bay”.
Female students from the UAE participated in five projects, with College of Science student Aisha Muhammad Adam Rahma winning first place for her project titled “The anti-breast cancer effect of ethanol extract of the Hypophyllum plant.” The two students, Jamila Yousef Al Dhaheri and Moza Sulaiman Al Kaabi, also received awards from the forum. About their project titled “Assessing changes in groundwater storage in the United Arab Emirates in the Gravity and Climate Restoration Experiment.”
Aisha Al-Falahi, an expert in the Office of the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and General Supervisor for Female Student Participation, said: “Female student participation in the UAE University arises from the importance of these events for their learning” and more personal Development process that helps them build and develop a comprehensive and integrated personality, as we always try to integrate them into extracurricular activities that help give them academic and personal skills related to the labor market, such as: B. participation in international conferences, trips and pioneering competitions.”
