It has already been announced that voting for the starting five of the 2024 NBA All-Star Game has ended. A week later, on February 1, the substitute players for the game, selected by the coaches, will also be announced.
When voting for the starting eleven, 50% of the value went to the votes of the fans, 25% to the rating of the league players and 25% to the media representatives. The NBA press service has published more detailed voting results.
Porzingis finished eighth in the voting for forward and middle position players (“frontcourt”) in the Eastern Conference.
The Latvian was rated highest by media representatives, who ranked the Boston Celtics player fifth.
Among NBA players, Porzingis was ranked ninth, while the Latvian basketball player was ranked seventh in the fan poll.

The Latvian basketball player averaged 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds and blocked 1.8 shots in 33 games this season.
“Celtics” is currently leading the league with 35 wins and 10 defeats.
Previously, Porzingis was only selected to participate in the NBA All-Star Game in 2018, but was unable to participate in the event due to injury.
In 2018, Porzingis received more than a million fan votes (1,116,769), while this year fans voted 778,015 times.
Six years ago, the new star of the New York “Knicks” took fourth place in both the fan and media polls in the voting of the “frontcourt” players in the Eastern Conference.
