After facing the terrible dark place, the hero of Remedy now finds himself trapped in the fog.
Like its unfortunate heroes, Behavior Interactive’s terrible video game seems to survive anything. The small world of the asymmetrical horror title continues to delight players around the world, but many developers have lost their teeth trying their hand at this particular genre. Including: Friday the 13th, The Game (whose shame lay in the graphics and repetitive gameplay rather than the misdeeds of the vile Jason Voorhees) or even evil Dead by Saber Interactive. Despite excellent reviews, impeccable respect for the Sam Raimi saga and very rapid popular success, the latter was quickly abandoned by its creators. For his part, Dead by daylight seems strengthened by eight years of steadfast survival.

But why Dead by daylight is he that unbeatable? This isn’t the first game of its kind (countless players’ first foray into this asymmetrical horror world dates back to the multiplayer mode of left 4 Dead), and he is not the first to innovate it the most (the game evil Dead offered many new features that set it apart from the competition).
Still, DBD has become more than a reference. It’s become something of a video game thermometer that critics use to measure the temperature of each new horror game. Arriving at just the right time to revitalize the genre, it has become an essential reference and has a trump card that defies all competition: it Guests.
Users can play with Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and the Xenomorphextraterrestrialthe ghost face of Scream or the Demogorgon from Stranger Things. And when Nicolas Cage or Ash Williams (played by cinema icon Bruce Campbell) appear in the game, they are voiced by their interpreters. Enough to restart this Hype around this title as soon as it begins to unravel with each announcement, while other games of the same type have a major drawback: that of being limited to their own universe.
