Heavyweight Anthony Joshua will face Francis Ngannou, who had a tough fight against Tyson Fury at the end of October last year, in Saudi Arabia in the near future.
Just last year there were rumors that Joshua would face Deontay Wilder this year, but he lost to Joseph Parker at a fight show in Saudi Arabia just before Christmas, while the Brit and former IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO Heavyweight champion the Swede defeated Otto Wallin.
On Friday evening, the news that Joshua would soon face Ngannou was also confirmed by his promoter Eddie Hearn. Further details about the fight are expected to be announced at a special press conference on January 15th.
Anthony Joshua has fought 30 fights in his career and won 27 of them, 24 of them by knockout. Ngannou was a UFC star and heavyweight champion before turning to boxing. In MMA he has fought 20 fights, winning 17 of them.
