Yesterday evening, Monday, Mr. Ahmed Harzni, the Ambassador-at-Large and former President of the Advisory Council for Human Rights, died after suffering from illness, according to what his relatives learned.

Mr. Harzni began his professional career as a professor of preparatory education from October 1971 to 1986, then a researcher at the National Institute of Agricultural Research in Settat from June 1986 to August 1995, then in Rabat and Settat from 1997 to October 2006, then a professor at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane from September 1995 to December 1996. During his tenure as Chairman of the Advisory Council for Human Rights, Mr. Herzni, who published several analytical articles and books, supervised the task of tracking the implementation of the recommendations of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission.
