The first trailer for GTA 6 caused a stir not only among video game fans. Although the expectations are really high, there are many people who criticized Rockstar Games for changing their approach, submitting to “modern standards” and choosing the “woke path”. Ned Luke responded to the comments.
At the end of last year, Rockstar fulfilled the expectations of many gamers by releasing the first trailer for the latest installment of Grand Theft Auto. Not only has there been a lot of talk lately about the potential release date, controversies and reactions to the material (as well as any associated compensation), there has also been a lot of commentary on the scenes depicted.

Ned Luke, the actor who plays Michel in GTA 5, spoke to IGN and digressed about the video’s “woke” vibe. Some people are convinced that GTA 6 will not offer a unique experience because Rockstar Games has “given in to fashion” and placed particular emphasis on women, ethnic diversity and social inequalities.
Lucia is tough, man. She looked good in the trailer. A lot of these clowns say, “Rockstar has gone the woke route and is moving in that direction by creating a world.” First of all, there have been other heroines in the past, but obviously not in something as big as this [GTA 6 – przyp. red.].
The actor is convinced that Rockstar Games not only has no intention of changing the concept of creating a gangster world, but will also offer “the greatest game in history.”
GTA 6 will be the biggest game of all time. She [Lucia – przyp. red.] She looks like a tough girl to me. In the final scene where they clash, she just looked like a villain. The cool thing was that she was driving. She kicked down the door and then Jason entered. So I don’t know if you’re reading into that that she’s going to be a star and he’s going to be with her or whatever.
Rockstar Games has proven for years that it is unafraid to push boundaries, shock and spark discussions on difficult topics – and the latest production will be a sure way to confront its own legend. Undoubtedly, it will be difficult to beat GTA 5, but we can systematically hear that only GTA 6 can reach this level of controversy. Will it be a “wake game”? This theme will definitely come back and we will undoubtedly witness a promising event next year.
