WhatsApp is introducing several new features for its in-app channels. Users will particularly like two of them. However, one wonders why the meta conglomerate (the owner of the messenger) waited so long to introduce it.
WhatsApp introduced Channels in mid-2023 and has since continued to develop the new element of the app and add more features. This time, the messenger announced the introduction of several new features designed to make it easier to use not only for administrators but also for users.

Four new features in WhatsApp. They make it easier to use the channels
Channels allow companies or organizations to communicate with users in one direction. They work similarly to fan pages on social networks and allow you to send text messages and publish photos, stickers and videos. As WhatsApp itself explains, they provide a reliable and privacy-preserving way to receive important updates from the organizations and people you follow.
Now Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta, the owner of WhatsApp) has announced four new features of the messenger on his channel. The application is expanded with the ability to create (by administrators) and listen (by users) notes and voice messages, which have long been available in chat communication between individual users.
Another interesting new feature is the ability for administrators to create and publish polls (including multiple choice polls). Thanks to this feature, users can influence possible decisions of the company or organization being observed. Surveys have been available for years on many social networking sites and instant messengers (including group conversations on WhatsApp). So it’s puzzling that Meta has only now managed to add the feature to Channels.
The next two innovations are less important from the perspective of the users themselves. Zuckerberg announced the ability to create more than one admin for a given channel and allow them to upload the most important content directly to the channel status. New features are still being tested and are expected to be available to users soon. However, the exact date of their launch has not yet been announced.
