AS Roma could not win on matchday 20 of Serie A. Romelu Lukaku was once again in control for an entire game and saw AC Milan win 3-1. Theo Hernandez’s goal was particularly impressive. The Frenchman scored a wonderful goal after a great assist from Olivier Giroud.

The suspended José Mourinho’s men once again performed far too poorly at San Siro and did not prepare anything before the break. The Portuguese coach, who was suspended for his antics against Atalanta, watched from the stands as Yacine Adli cut through Rasmus Kristensen in the half-moon after eleven minutes and fired the opening goal past Mile Svilar (ex-Anderlecht). As has often been the case this season, Lukaku found himself on an island and was only given a few useful balls.
In the second half, Olivier Giroud made it 2-0, but a penalty goal from Leandro Paredes made the game tense again. However, that turned out to be a vain hope as Hernandez and Giroud then scored their beautiful goal.
The Romans once again failed to beat a top club from Italy. Mourinho and Co. barely managed five points against Inter, Juventus, Milan, Atalanta, Lazio and Napoli, meaning Roma barely reached the left column in ninth place in the standings. Milan consolidated their third place, nine points behind leaders Inter.
