The most wanted apartment in Germany has two rooms, 64 square meters, costs 556 euros cold – and receives an average of 22 contact requests every day, as the analysis shows. “But apartments are often offered that are larger and more expensive,” says Gesa Crockford, managing director of ImmoScout24. The most commonly offered rental apartment has three rooms, 73 square meters and costs 708 euros per month. The price difference between supply and demand is around one euro per square meter, which results in a difference of 152 euros per month compared to the most searched apartment for the entire living space. This means that the advertised apartments are often larger and overall more expensive than what most people are looking for.
