The arrival of the Nintendo Switch 2, sometime this year, will be accompanied by the reboot of a popular franchise. Anyone want to relive the Bayonetta trilogy?
With the beginning of 2024, the year has also come when we can expect a new Nintendo Switch. At least if the many rumors of the past year are true.
The same rumors are currently circulating on X. The term “Switch 2” is trending there. Fans are hungry for console news, but for now we’ll have to settle for one game. Although we can’t be completely dissatisfied with a remaster of the Bayonetta trilogy, can we?
Nintendo Switch 2 gets Bayonetta remaster
Nash Weedle, an X leaker, said that players can expect the trilogy on the new Switch. Of course, we have to take this news with a grain of salt, as Nintendo is still one of the few companies that can keep a secret reasonably well.
But if Weedle is right, then we really have something cool to look forward to. In addition to the three games in the Bayonetta trilogy, the titles will also receive slicker visuals and performance improvements. There is also talk of HDR support.

💫Restart
BAYONETTA is getting a TRILOGY Edition for the Switch 2 with its three main games in one package.
The games will bring visual (HDR confirmed) and performance improvements.

The original Bayonetta was released by developer PlatinumGames on various platforms, but parts two and three appeared exclusively on a Nintendo console. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that the Nintendo Switch 2 will receive the remaster.
If only to satisfy the hack-and-slash game’s usually large fan base. For example, Nintendo could still have some catching up to do when it comes to Bayonetta 3. Due to technical limitations, the experience may not have been what fans expected. The Nintendo Switch 2 could change that.
2024: the year of a new handheld
Six years after the Nintendo Switch came onto the market, it’s finally time for a successor. It’s high time, because the combination of console and handheld is now reaching its technical limits. The new model, presumably the Switch 2, should put an end to this.
Rumors have been pointing to the arrival of a successor for some time. In 2019 there was talk of a Switch Mini, later it was about the Switch Pro. In retrospect it turned out that these were allusions to the Switch OLED, but now there is certainty about a new model that actually does something different.
