REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The 19th transport of the charismatic ulama from Martapura, Abah Guru Sekumpul, has just taken place. Every year the Abah Guru Sekumpul festival is never busy, thousands to hundreds of thousands of people take part in the Ulama festival that once met Rasulullah SAW’s grandchildren Sayyidina Hussain and Sayyidina Hasan.
Guru Sekumpul’s original name is Muhammad Zaini bin Abdul Ghani. He was born in Martapura in February 1942. However, it turned out that his childhood name was Qusyairi, which he later changed to this name after his meeting with the two grandchildren of His Majesty the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
Quoted from the book “Kisah Guru Sekumpul” by Alif Toha and Sterno Pena, some by Guru Sekumpuls Caromah, taken from Manakib, the treatise on the story of KH Muhammd Hu by Guru Hudari, tell that Guru Sekumpul dreamed as a child As him When he met Sayidina Hasan and Sayidina Husain, his grandson Rasulullah SAW, the second, brought a robe and attached it to him along with the turban.
The arrival of Prophet SAW’s second grandson also gave him the name Zainal Abidin.
After waking up, little Abah Sekumpul told his father about the dream. Then his father changed his name from Qusyairi to Muhammad Zaini.
There is another story of Guru Sekumpul that one day when Guru Sekumpul was going to hunt birds, when he reached the coral field, he heard the voice of Dhikr: “Laa ilaha illallah” He spontaneously went further and looked for the source of the noise. He went up to Karang Village and searched for the source of the sound. It turned out that the dhikr came from the voice of the grave of the teacher, Haji Abdullah Kotib.
He immediately set out on a pilgrimage and every midnight of the full moon the teachers gathered to make a pilgrimage to the tomb.
During his lifetime, Guru Sekumpul once gave a message about Karamah. He said one should never think or intend to attain Karamah by performing worship or wiridan-wiridan just to seek Karamah.
Therefore, the noblest and highest value of Karaman Istiqamah is in the path of Allah. If someone claims to have Karamah but his prayers are chaotic, then that is not Karamah. So Karamah will come when a person’s Istiqamah value is perfect in the sense of Allah SWT and meets the requirements itself.
