The United States will sell two types of tomahawks to Japan for a total of $2.35 billion (CZK 53.5 billion). According to AP, there will be 200 Block IV missiles and 200 improved versions of Block V. These can be fired from warships and hit targets at a distance of 1,600 kilometers.
Japan has abandoned its pacifist stance and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s government has pledged to double its annual defense spending to around $68 billion by 2027. If so, Japan will have the third-highest military spending in the world, behind the United States and China.
