Work, Calderone: “DL Cohesion makes 2 billion and 800 million available”
“Two billion and 800 million made available for the labor part of the newly approved Cohesion Decree, plus those for the reconversion of the skills of workers in large companies in crisis”. Thus Marina Calderone, Minister of Labour, in an interview with Messaggero. “They are funds managed by the Ministry of Labor, the result of important choices, consistent with the strategy that I adopted from the beginning and which is giving results – highlights Calderone -. Istat surveys confirm constant growth in employment. We are at a new record of 62.1 percent employed, equal to 425 thousand more workers than last year, with the lowest unemployment rate for 16 years, after the Lehman crisis. It fell in one year from 7.9 percent to 7.2 percent, and the trend is decreasing.”
There are those who argue that the increase in employment depends on the growing economy: for Calderone, “certainly there is a correlation, which among other things does not only concern Italy, but the strategy is to make the most of the opportunities offered by the current moment, do not squander them and direct them. What we are doing is bringing into work the categories that had remained on the margins, those in which we historically have the greatest delays compared to the rest of Europe: young people and women, of any age. “.
In short, claims the minister, “let’s grow good employment: permanent contracts, new businesses, self-employment and freelance professions. The facts are proving us right: stable and self-employed work is increasing significantly, fixed-term contracts are decreasing. When I hear about the fight against precarious work and precarious employment, especially among young people, I tell myself that this is exactly what we are doing. With concrete actions and not words. I am convinced that the constitutional dictate according to which the Italian Republic is founded on work must truly be applied. And not on the subsidy.” Fingers pointed at the Rdc: “The weight of the widespread subsidies without an active policy strategy for employment has had a major impact. Citizenship income has proven to be a failure for the purposes of new employment and escape from poverty.”
And again: “Subsidies, or aid, without close correlation with effective work support measures, do not produce incentives to search for new work. This is what the experience of the Rdc tells us. On the contrary, the introduction of two measures, the Adi (Inclusion Allowance) and the Sfl (Support for training and work), has created the conditions to unlock or reverse this trend”. “Effectively managing the intersection between supply and demand for jobs – Calderone further points out – requires solid involvement of all the actors in the world of work, so that they can share strategies and information through procedures that use the best technologies. This is the experience we are having with the platform for the social and work inclusion system”.

Prime Minister of Georgia on the role of the Middle Corridor
– 2024-05-05 07:14:44
The middle corridor provides a reliable alternative.
As Day.Az reported on Saturday with reference to Trend, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this at the opening ceremony of the meeting of the ADB Board of Governors in Tbilisi.
“Our unique location allows us to be part of Europe and at the same time have the status of one of the key countries of the historical Silk Road. We are also part of the Middle Corridor, which offers a safe and reliable alternative,” he emphasized.
Kobakhidze mentioned that Georgia will continue to support and offer the best investment opportunities to Asian partners.
“With great pleasure and pride, I want to say that for the country and for the entire region, our main task is to ensure the prosperity and well-being of the Georgian people and the Georgian state. At the same time, I want to say that in this spirit we have maintained macroeconomic stability. In the post-pandemic period, we delivered double-digit economic growth, with a three-year average of 9.7% economic growth. We continue to maintain economic growth momentum.
The slogan of the event is “Bridge to the Future”, which offers a very valuable platform for economic development, development of future plans and interaction, and to combat global challenges. At the same time, this phrase is a very good explanation of our future aspirations. With every step we take, we create an economically strong, safe and secure future for other generations. This vision is enhanced and strengthened by a strategic location that connects Europe to Asia and Asia to Europe,” he added.

The Untold Story of the Evolute i-Joy Electric Car: A Russian Perspective
The hero of the stuff is the red Evolute i-Joy electric car
Source: reader 74.RU
Evolutionary electric cars are still very rare in Russia: it seems to be a Russian brand, Lipetsk assembly, a wide range of models … But over the past year, sold a little more than two thousand Evolutes, that is, half as much as the most expensive Zeekr or Voyah. And if the youngest model Evolute i-Pro is still splashing in a taxi, you won’t see the rest in town. But they are there, and we talked to Sergei, the owner of Evolute i-Joy, to understand – maybe the Russians undeservedly ignore their “native” brand? Sergei’s story turned out to be interesting: to begin with, let’s say that the car bought last year has been immobile since the fall of last year, awaiting its fate.
What are Evolute electric vehicles? Basically, these are the Chinese Dongfeng / Seres, which the Lipetsk Motorinvest plant has been producing in mass unit assembly mode since 2022. The Russian contribution is still very small, so it would be better the cars called Chinese. The model range includes the i-Pro sedan, i-Joy, i-Sky, i-Jet crossovers and i-Van and i-Space minivans. At the end of last year, 70% of what was sold was i-Pro, the rest were i-Joy crossovers and i-Sky admixtures. The other three models appeared later.
Evolute i-Joy is a copy of the Dongfeng Fengon E3, a middle-class crossover with a length of about 4.4 m It has a front wheel drive and an electric motor with a power of 163 hp. and a battery with a capacity of 53 kWh, which provides a rated range of 400 km

Sergey says that he drove only Toyota Camry for 20 years, gradually switching to newer models, but the cycle was stopped in 2022, when Toyota left Russia. At first, Sergei did not think about an electric car: he went to showrooms to see what Chinese brands were offering. He looked into the larger Evolute showroom out of curiosity, and immediately liked the i-Joy crossover: nice interior, the right size, responsiveness during acceleration. Since Sergei’s daily mileage rarely exceeds 100 km, and it is easy to install a charger in a private house, he decided that he was ready to have an electric car. In addition, from the price of 3.5 million rubles when buying on credit, more than 900 thousand were reduced due to state subsidies.

Sergei admits that it is not possible to achieve the specified range of 400 km on a charge: he is more likely to aim for 250 km. With the air conditioner or heater on and a normal driving rhythm, the consumption is 18-20 kWh / 100 km. Anyway, this is a lot: the biggest and most powerful showed the same amount in our test L7.
Monitors battery charge
The first time Sergei encountered limited mileage was on the day of car registration: although the reserve seemed to be enough to get home, about 10 kilometers before the desired time, the mileage suddenly dropped to minimum level, and he had to stop for an emergency. Recharge from a standard outlet at a hardware store. After this incident, Sergei began to monitor the battery charge more closely, and there were no special problems.
The efficiency of an electric car was not a priority for Sergei, but he still calculated that, compared to the Camry, he saves about 11-12 thousand rubles per month, spending at the rate of 3.6 rubles per kWh. He also liked the ease of control, good dynamics and lack of noise. In general, everything went well for the first couple of months, and the Evolute i-Joy looked like the best car for passenger driving. In addition, for a long run, the Toyota Camry stayed in the garage.

True, Sergei was upset that the Russian electric car did not have Russification, and by using a navigator it was easier to get directions somewhere in Bangladesh than in Russia, he laughs. In addition, it turns out that for comfortable driving in the winter, batteries and internal heaters are necessary (70 miles each), and it would also be good to install battery protection. in (60 miles).
Three evacuations in two months
When the miles passed the five mile mark, the first stop was on the highway, so we had to call a tow truck. It turned out that the charging unit for the 12-volt battery, which powers the electronics, had failed. The block was replaced by removing it from the car in the dealer’s showroom, and Sergei himself thought it was a misunderstanding.
Another month later, the car stopped on the highway again: the battery, which was charged to a third, suddenly became empty, prompting a second call for a tow truck. It was not possible to find a fault, and the representatives of the seller told Sergei that he had just entered a yard and that he only needed to fully charge the battery.
“I told them I didn’t drive into a pond,” said the motorist. – And anyway, the device must work reliably in any weather. I warned them that if the situation arises again, we will make a decision through the courts.
And the problem arose again. After delivering the car to the service center for the third time, Sergey again listened to the version that the problem was just a dead battery. This did not suit him, so he wrote a claim asking for the agreement to be terminated, and then he went to court. According to him, he doesn’t want to drive a car that it will be canceled at the most inappropriate time.
Whether the problem is related to a global cause or to the effect of the first repair (when the charging unit was replaced), he does not know. Since it fell, the car has been in the garage, and Sergey noticed that if you disconnect the terminal of the 12-volt battery, the traction battery stops self-discharge. It is possible that the problem is not so much in the Evolute itself, but in the inability of one of the Siberian dealers to diagnose and fix the problem.
Although the relationship between Sergei and Evolute did not work out, he was not disappointed in electric cars: he says that the next car may be electric. But most likely more expensive: he looks towards Zeekr, Avatr, Voyah, Lixiang.
