Its focus will not be on traversing rough terrain, leaving that task to the upcoming Jeep Recon, whose concept model debuted alongside the original Wagoneer S concept. Jeep confirmed that the Wagoneer S will feature a 4xe powertrain with terrain management. Which means that a twin-motor powertrain drives both axles, produces 600 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds.

Originally, the concept was supposed to aim for an electric range of up to 400 miles (644 km), but it hasn’t been confirmed whether that’s the goal or not, and we know that the Wagoneer S will be aimed at a competitor across the city: the Cadillac Lyriq, and the name was originally called Wagoneer S. It was intended only for the concept and a production name was to be chosen, but it seems that Jeep executives have decided against it and will stick with the name Wagoneer S, and that We can’t blame them, because the name works and firmly establishes the new model as part of the Wagoneer luxury sub-brand.
