The show Prostřeno has been a phenomenon on Czech television screens since 2010. Every week, five amateur chefs meet and each of them tries to perform at their best to win a financial reward. Currently the participants are competing for sixty thousand crowns. However, it’s not always just unknown participants cooking, Prostřeno also has a special VIP version of the show. And in the week of January 15th, influencers will be putting their cooking skills to the test.
There has been speculation about the involvement of influencers in Prostrén for several months. Social network users somehow suspected that a part with influencers would come, but the speculation was only confirmed last week. As part of the new series, FTV Prima revealed five influencers who will be competing for the prize. Influencers Tadeáš Kuběnka, Simona Tvardek, Kim Ly Tranová, musician Šimon Opp and athlete Ondřej Mánek, who was represented in several episodes by Lucie Neumannová, will introduce the competition dishes to fans.
On the first night of the competition, participants were hosted by Kim Ly Tran, who prepared traditional Vietnamese dishes. As a starter she planned unfried summer rolls that the others had to pack themselves, which not everyone liked, spinach broth, caramelized pork belly with rice and fried banana. She also decided to teach guests to eat with chopsticks, which Tadeáš Kuběnka didn’t particularly like. He admitted he can’t eat with chopsticks and has been avoiding Asian restaurants for over three years. He doesn’t even use chopsticks for sushi.
On one side of the table sat Kuběnka and Tvardek, who are very open, explicit and, one might even say, controversial, on the other side Opp and Mánek, who seemed more introverted, and Tranová tried to balance the different sides. Nevertheless, you could tell throughout the piece that all five participants knew each other relatively well, which also matched the energy between them.
This week influencers are gathering at the table in Prostřen. What have you prepared for the menu? Handrolls ✨

The cellar near Tranová attracted the most participants. She confided that when she first became ill with Covid-19, her parents locked her inside, supposedly so that she wouldn’t infect them. “I’ve seen a few cellars, but none like this,” laughed Mánek. There’s a sauna, a hot tub, television, alcohol and everything participants think a person in quarantine could use.
The evaluation of Tran’s performance was quite varied, with the other participants giving her between five and ten points. In the end she managed to score thirty points.
On the second night of the competition, Kuběnka will show off her cooking skills and promises viewers can look forward to drama throughout the week. He also called his mother to help him cook and it appears the promised drama will begin early Tuesday evening. In the preview for Tuesday’s episode, they clash quite a bit, and the argument even caused embarrassment among some contestants.
