The Catholic University of Madagascar (UCM) will organize from May 11 to June 8 the third edition of the capital’s inter-university and institute women’s futsal tournament called “Turnover”. The matches will take place at the Mahamasina gymnasium.
Sixteen teams have so far entered. The technical meeting was held on Saturday at UCM University in Ambatoroka. The organization of the tournament has set as its objective and slogan “the fight against all forms of discrimination and violence against women through women’s football”. Many girls are passionate about and practice this sport, perceived as reserved for boys and men. “It is precisely for this reason that we have chosen as our slogan since the first edition in 2022 Women the best peacemaker, which translates as Woman, the main peacemaker”, maintains Tantely Symphorien, university chaplain Catholic from Madagascar.
The general director of Softwell Madagascar, Mbolatiana Andriamanantsoa, will be the godmother of this edition. UCM University thus encourages everyone through the organization of this tournament to fight against social injustices, discrimination and violence against women. Women have always been considered weak, fragile and vulnerable, but who play an important role in society. The successor to Aceem, the reigning champion team, will therefore be known on June 8.
