What should have been an international gathering of talented tattoo artists turned into a freezing nightmare. The organizers were forced to cancel the 16th edition of the tattoo show in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) at the Grand Marché d’Intérêt National Occitanie (MIN).
For two days, 300 tattoo artists from all over the world must have showcased their talent at the 16th edition of the Toulouse Tattoo Show at the Grand Marché d’Intérêt National Occitanie (MIN) north of Toulouse. After a few hours, the event, which was supposed to take place on January 13th and 14th, 2024, turned into a fiasco and was canceled.
“We are forced to close the convention due to poor performance. We’re sorry, we’ll get everything back to normal. We will keep you updated on refunds, tickets, booths, etc. We are sorry, in accordance with our Quality and Tattoo Services Charter we are obliged to close immediately” the organizers of this conference posted on their Facebook page.

The participants’ statements multiplied throughout the day. “Tattoo convention a cold beggar, no comment…” Post one of these on Facebook.
“We arrived around 11:15-11:30 am. We saw tattoo artists leaving, we thought it was strange” says Margaux, one of the visitors contacted by telephone. I originally wanted to get a tattoo but ultimately gave up. Few tattoos were done, some exhibitors even offered to stop by their Airbnb and get tattooed.. When she says she paid for her entry, she says she has no information about whether or not she will receive a refund. “I’m thinking especially of the tattoo artists who paid to come…” She adds.
But it is a video posted on Tiktok by @taneys_tatto that reveals the extent of the disaster. The hallways of Congress are empty. Tattoo artists pack up their equipment to avoid disaster. The place accessible to the four winds is not heated. The temperature reached -2°.
