Nicaraguan banks are experiencing a surge in public confidence, leading to a rise in deposited funds and larger approved loans. This increase in funds has also resulted in a decline in interest rates, making it a favorable time for borrowing. According to recent data from the Central Bank of Nicaragua, interest rates on bank loans have decreased in both dollars and córdobas, with an average rate of 8.47 percent in March.
Loans in dollars are currently more affordable than those in local currency, as the Central Bank has kept its rates stable at 7 percent. This stability has impacted the cost of access to córdobas for local financial institutions.
The main destination for bank loans has been towards personal loans and credit cards, with commercial credit also seeing growth albeit at a more moderate rate. The gross credit portfolio for the Financial System has seen a 15.4 percent increase compared to the same period last year, although this growth rate is lower than in previous years.
For those looking to borrow in dollars, interest rates have become more attractive in various sectors such as commerce, agriculture, and industry. The interest rates on loans in córdobas have also shown a decrease, making borrowing more affordable in the local currency compared to previous years.
Overall, the improved financial stability in Nicaragua has created a conducive environment for borrowing, with lower interest rates benefitting both borrowers and financial institutions.

The National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian) has taken a significant step for the benefit of users of the Nequi and DaviPlata digital platforms by eliminating the 4×1000 tax on significant transactions. This measure, confirmed by the director of the entity, Luis Carlos Reyes, comes into force as of December of this year, in line with the 2022 tax reform.

The elimination of this tax, contemplated in article 65 of Law 2277, represents a tax relief for those who use these popular digital wallets operated by Grupo Bancolombia and Grupo Davivienda. According to Reyes, this decision is added to a series of modifications designed to exempt a large part of the Colombian population from this tax.
The director of Dian also detailed that people whose financial transactions do not exceed 16.4 million pesos between all their accounts will be exempt from paying this tax, which benefits a large number of Nequi and DaviPlata users. These platforms have stood out for providing facilities such as instant transfers and bill payment without having to go to a bank branch, which has contributed significantly to financial inclusion in Colombia.
According to an analysis by the firm Inmark, at least 14% of banked Colombians use these digital wallets. The legislative change is considered crucial, since the application of the 4×1000 had generated controversy and discontent among users. The exemption from this tax, applicable up to three hundred and fifty (350) UVT per month, will simplify digital financial operations, thus promoting financial inclusion and facilitating citizens’ daily transactions.

The Dangers of ChatGPT: Why Data from StackOverflow is Outdated and Unreliable
But that is the danger. ChatGPT gets its data from StackOverflow, nobody goes to StackOverflow anymore so there is no new data anymore.
One of the great advantages of StackOverflow is that some questions are added years later with solutions that work in newer versions of frameworks. You will soon lose that and ChatGPT will only give you solutions that used to work or were even wrong at the time.
I often see people say that ChatGPT gives them all the answers or writes complete code for them. My experience is that I have plenty of experience and only come to ChatGPT for exceptional situations and then 9/10 times I’m disappointed, but I’m continuing my research .
I also discovered that ChatGPT is as bad as I am at regular expression syntax. Just comes with a broken regex, including a broken Python example, even though I had put enough data in there with several examples of input and what the output should be to be In the end it wasn’t a complex regex at all.
And since people really want to close the feedback loop and ChatGPT continues to train on what is ultimately a lot of code created by ChatGPT itself, the quality will not improve until very fast
