The Rise of Galaxy AI: A Game-Changer for Samsung
The introduction of Galaxy AI on the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year has been a game-changer for Samsung, attracting a significant portion of buyers solely for its AI capabilities.
Expanding Reach and Accessibility
Samsung is now on a mission to bring Galaxy AI to over 100 million users by the end of the year, extending its reach beyond the Galaxy S24 series to older devices. The company’s ambitious goal seems within reach, especially considering the impressive download figures of the recent One UI 6.1 update.
Impressive Adoption Rates
Since the rollout of One UI 6.1 for older devices on March 28, Samsung has reported a staggering 8.8 million downloads within just over a month. This adoption rate is particularly noteworthy as One UI 6.1 and Galaxy AI are currently exclusive to flagship Galaxy devices launched in 2023.
According to Samsung’s data, the One UI 6.1 update has been embraced by a significant percentage of European users, with nearly 75% of Galaxy Z Fold5 users, 80% of S23 Ultra users, and almost 65% of Tab S9 users opting for the update. This makes it one of Samsung’s most popular software updates to date.
Future Expansion and Possibilities
In the coming month, Samsung plans to extend the availability of One UI 6.1 to Galaxy flagships released in 2022 and 2021, further solidifying the integration of Galaxy AI across its product lineup. However, the company remains silent on the prospects of budget and mid-range devices receiving the update, hinting that non-flagship devices may miss out on the AI-driven features of One UI 6.1.
As Samsung continues to innovate and enhance its software offerings, the future of Galaxy AI and its impact on user experience remains a focal point for the tech giant.
Massive Adoption: One UI 6.1 Surpasses 10 Million Downloads in Just One Month

The first thing that strikes us about this version of the game is the significantly improved graphics. Compared to the previous section Whether it is a beautiful image displayed Various effects Emotions on the faces of the characters As well as animations during battle. Universal’s songs are back on TikTok, and perhaps it’s thanks to Taylor Swift
Il relationship with musicand in general the use of songs, melodies and sounds is definitely one of the reasons for TikTok’s success (here are the other 7 seconds us)and it is therefore understandable that the company has worked hard to re-establish relationships with Universal Music Group after the abrupt breakup a few months ago.
Shortly before 11am Italian time, the two companies announced “un new multidimensional licensing agreement which will deliver significant benefits to UMG’s collection of artists, songwriters and labels and bring music back to TikTok’s more than one billion global users.” Simply put, they are back on the ByteDance platform songs by Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Drake and many others.
The reports How many users and how many moderators: the true numbers of social networks active in Italy by Emanuele Capone 30 April 2024
More money for artists?
The Pennsylvania singer herself may have somehow facilitated the successful outcome of the negotiationopening a crack in the wall opposed by Universal and demanding that the songs from his new album, The Tortured Poets Departmentwere available on TikTok despite everything.
And so now, TikTok users can “expect the return of music from UMG’s entire catalog and once again enjoy creating videos using the music of some of the world‘s greatest artists and songwriters, as well as exciting emerging talent.” There is obviously no information on the economic details of the operation, but it was explained that, as part of the agreement, both companies “will work together to realize new monetization opportunities using TikTok’s growing e-commerce capabilities and will work on campaigns to support UMG artists across all genres and territories globally.” From what we understand, it is reasonable to hypothesize the arrival of new options that will perhaps allow (for example) the purchase of records or individual songs by various artists with a link directly from TikTok.
Not only that: the social network explained that “we will continue to invest significant resources in the creation of tools that will help UMG artists realize their potential”, such as Add to music app (to insert the song you listen to on TikTok in your library on Spotify), as well as “improved data collection and analysis tools and ticketing functionality integrate”.
Furthermore, TikTok and Universal “will work together to ensure that the development of artificial intelligence in the music industry protects human capabilities” and TikTok also “commits to working with UMG to remove unauthorized AI-generated music from the platform”, as well as adding “tools to improve the attribution (of songs, ed.) to artists and songwriters”.
The words of the two CEOs
Commenting on the agreement, which comes in a particularly delicate moment for TikTokespecially in the United States, the CEO del social network, Shou Chewrecalled that “music is an integral part of the TikTok ecosystem and we are pleased to have found a path forward with Universal Music Group. We are committed to working together to promote value, discovery and promotion for all the amazing artists and songwriters at UMG and deepen their ability to grow, connect and engage with our community.”
On your part, Lucian Grainge, president and CEO of Universal Music Groupemphasized that “this new chapter in our relationship with TikTok focuses on the value of music, the primacy of human art, and the well-being of the creative community. We look forward to working with the TikTok team to advance the interests of our artists and songwriters and drive innovation in fan engagement while promoting the monetization of music sui social”.
