Latvian Television (LTV) has signed an agreement with “Infront Sports & Media AG” and will receive exclusive broadcasting rights in Latvia to broadcast the Ice Hockey World Cup until 2028, LTV representative Ginta Martini told the LETA agency.
Viewers will have the opportunity to watch live broadcasts, interviews, behind-the-scenes insights, game studios and other original content from all World Cup games on LTV broadcast, digital platforms and social media.
The 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship will take place from May 10th to 26th in the Czech cities of Prague and Ostrava. This year, the matches of subgroup A will be played in Prague, where the teams from Canada, Finland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Norway, Austria and Great Britain will meet, while the matches of subgroup B, where the Latvian national team will play Also drawn will be held in Ostrava – the teams from the USA, Germany, Sweden, Slovakia, Latvia, France, Kazakhstan and Poland. Latvia will play its first game against Poland on May 11th.
Latvian television broadcasting rights are provided through an agreement with the exclusive media and marketing partner of the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship “Infront Sports & Media AG”. The agreement provides for broadcast rights from 2024 to 2028.
