According to the web medium “Setevije svobodi”, Maiboroda again published news about the number of Russian victims and an emotional video.
The defendant pleaded guilty in court to everything except the motives of political hatred.
The pensioner said she reposted the news because her brother’s house in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, was destroyed by Russian missiles and her brother was buried in the ruins of the building.
The pensioner’s profile on the VKontakte network contains many anti-war posts, in which some compare the Russian leadership with the leaders of Nazi Germany, the web media Kavkaz.Realii reports.
Last January she was fined 40,000 rubles (about 400 euros) for “discrediting” the army on the VKontakte platform.
During the court hearing, the pensioner said that she disagreed with the actions of the Russian army and the Kremlin against Ukraine and negatively assessed the actions and personal qualities of President Vladimir Putin.

At least half of the convictions in “fake news” cases about the army occur in cases in which Russian citizens spoke out about the killing of Ukrainian civilians by Russian soldiers.
