This Thursday (25th) marks the 470th anniversary of Sao Paulo, i.e. a vacation in the city. Still, B3 won’t take a break and that Ibovespa (IBOV) works normally.
According to the B3Operations will only be interrupted in the event of a national holiday, with tomorrow being a local holiday. The calendar with all the days on which negotiations will be suspended has already been published. Check it out below.

What opens and what ends on São Paulo’s birthday?
Banks
Accordingly Brazilian Banking Association (Febraran), Banks will not open on January 25th.
In this way, deposit slips and utility bills due on that day can be paid on Friday (26), a working day, without additional fees. Payment can then be made via digital channels such as applications and internet banking.
“Even during the holidays, digital channels and ATMs are available and offer practically all financial transactions in the banking system,” emphasizes Deputy Head of Services at Febraban, Walter Tadeu de Faria.
Municipal rotation
Due to the anniversary of São Paulo, the municipal vehicle change is suspended this Thursday and Friday. In addition, exclusive bus lanes will be opened.
Free bus
According to the initiative of the city of São Paulo, which introduced free bus tickets on Sundays and public holidays, city buses can be used without paying this Thursday.
