The XPS 16 and XPS 14 introduce new screen sizes, while the XPS 13 Plus and XPS 13 have been updated. These laptops focus on productivity and eliminating distractions. In addition to the three new laptops, Dell is also introducing the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW). This 40-inch 5K monitor is certified for five-star eye comfort.
Equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, the XPS 16 is the most powerful notebook in the XPS series. The XPS 14 combines performance and portability, while the XPS 13 is the thinnest and lightest XPS at just 2.6 kg.
Minimalist design
The new XPS laptops are minimalist. They are made of CNC machined aluminum and Gorilla Glass 3 and have clay colors (available in graphite and platinum). They feature a touch function bar for switching between media and function keys, a glass touchpad with haptic feedback and larger keycaps that improve the typing experience.
Every new XPS laptop features InfinityEdge panels with OLED touch options, variable refresh rates, high-resolution options and Dolby Vision. There are four speakers connected that support Dolby Atmos Immersive Audio and 3D stereo surround from Waves’ MaxxAudio Pro. A new intelligent FHD 1080p webcam is also available.
The product range also brings new AI-based features. The features increase creativity and productivity while ensuring better performance and longer battery life. All XPS laptops feature ExpressCharge to charge 80% of battery life in just 60 minutes.
Portability and strength go hand in hand
The new 16- and 14-inch screens on the XPS 16 and XPS 14 deliver beautiful quality. The XPS 16 is the top model in the series for complex workloads. With the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs (up to GeForce RTX 4070 GPU), the XPS 16 is the most powerful XPS notebook.
The XPS 14 combines performance, design and portability. The notebook is 21 percent lighter than the XPS 16. NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs (up to the GeForce RTX 4050 GPU) are optionally available.
Both the XPS 16 and XPS 14 are NVIDIA Studio validated systems. This makes them suitable for demanding creative tasks such as 3D rendering, video editing and live streaming. The laptops also offer exclusive access to the Studio AI-based tool suite and improved stability with NVIDIA Studio drivers.
The XPS 13 is the thinnest and lightest XPS, weighing just 2.6kg. The updated laptop offers three new screen options (including FHD+, QHD+ Touch and 3K+ OLED Touch)
AI capabilities
The new XPS laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and feature an integrated AI acceleration engine and an NPU (Neural Processing Unit). This means that PCs no longer rely solely on the CPU or GPU for processing and performance.
The laptops are all equipped with Copilot in Windows 11. The portfolio also includes a Copilot button, which enables one-touch access to Copilot.
Dell UltraSharp monitor
In addition to the new XPS laptops, Dell is also introducing the Dell UltraSharp 40 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U4025QW). This ultra-wide, curved VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified monitor features IPS Black Panel technology for increased color contrast and fine detail in 5K (5120 x 2160) resolution.
To improve eye well-being, Dell has entered into a partnership with TÜV Rheinland. Dell’s UltraSharp monitors are the first to receive a five-star eye comfort certification from TÜV Rheinland, a new industry standard for eye comfort that helps reduce signs of eye strain. Dell focuses on three things:
- The refresh rate has been doubled from 60 Hz to 120 Hz to deliver smoother and sharper moving images.
- An ambient light sensor has been installed to automatically adjust the screen brightness and color temperature to the ambient light. Recent studies show that this can reduce the incidence of eye fatigue by 7 to 17% compared to a constant brightness screen.
- Dell ComfortView Plus has been improved by reducing exposure to harmful blue light from 50% to less than 35% with more advanced LED backlighting. Research shows that this can reduce signs of eye strain by 8% after 50 minutes of performing a search task.
Precision, productivity and comfort
To ensure that images and colors appear as vivid and lifelike as possible, the monitor is equipped with a 99% DCI-P3 / Display P3 color space. Users can calibrate the colors on their screen using Dell Color Management software.
This monitor is equipped with various connectivity options and offers Thunderbolt 4 with a power of up to 140W. It supports high-speed wired Ethernet connectivity of 2.5Gbps via RJ45 as well as HDMI 2.1 FRL (Fixed Rate Link) and DisplayPort 2.1.
If you are looking for a smaller display, you can choose the new Dell UltraSharp 34 Curved Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U3425WE) with WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440). This monitor offers many of the same features, including TÜV Rheinland’s five-star certification for eye comfort, IPS Black technology, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity (up to 90W of power).
