Ternary batteries accounted for 36.2% of the total installed volume, while lithium iron phosphate batteries made up 63.8%.
The power battery industry is undergoing optimization as supply and demand balance out. Some suppliers are experiencing growth due to cost and performance advantages, while others are facing declines. Among the top 10 companies in terms of installed capacity in the first quarter of 2024, Sunwanda, Honeycomb Energy, and Zhengli New Energy saw over 200% year-on-year increases.
Leading companies in the domestic power battery sector include CATL, Fudi Battery, AVIC Innovation, Honeycomb Energy, Guoxuan High-Tech, Yiwei Lithium Energy, LG Chem, Sunwanda, Funeng Technology, and Zhengli New Energy. CATL maintained its position as the market leader with a 43.9% share, followed by Fudi Battery with 27.3%.
Looking ahead, companies are focused on cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and technological progress to drive market demand and reduce battery costs. Xinwangda, a prominent player in the industry, continues to expand its presence in both domestic and foreign markets, collaborating with leading car manufacturers to ensure stable growth.
