Canon has a stereo lens for VR photography that is suitable for small (full frame) images. At the CES electronics trade fair they showed two more stereo lenses that are adapted for APS-C sensors.
The Canon RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye was launched in 2021 and enables the capture of three-dimensional VR images thanks to dual fisheye lenses. The lens is adapted for small images and now Canon also seems to have plans for a corresponding lens for Eos R cameras with an APS-C sensor.
At the recently concluded CES consumer electronics trade fair in Las Vegas, USA, Canon showed, among other things, VR glasses and three prototypes for VR and regular stereo photography: two lenses and a compact camera.
Both lenses have been adapted for APS-C sensors, one for VR photography with two fisheye lenses and one for stereo photography with two wide-angle lenses built into a normal lens body.
The compact camera has two fisheye lenses for VR photography in stereo (3D).
