Energy is born from waste and all this in a truly particular context, in the green heart of Chianti in Tuscany, among the hills of Montespertoli. In fact, the new Biodigester of a plant hub that presents itself as a national excellence in the circular economy system was inaugurated today. It will be the largest in central Italy and also innovative at a national level for a total investment of 75 million euros. The biodigester recycles organic and biodegradable waste producing clean, emission-free fuel. Every year it will be possible to treat a total of 160,000 tons of waste (145,000 organic waste and 15,000 green waste), producing approximately 11 million cubic meters of biomethane and 35,000 tons of fertilizer. «The inauguration of this plant – explains Lorenzo Perra, president of Alia Multiutility – marks a turning point in our industrial vision. Transforming waste into biogas, and therefore into green energy, is not just a technological challenge, but an imperative environmental necessity.” For CEO Alberto Irace, the Montespertoli hub is «a concrete response to the historic lack of systems to manage the organic fraction of urban waste, which in Tuscany represents over 40% of separate waste collection». The president of the Tuscany Region, Eugenio Giani, said he was convinced that «with this system the trinomial environment-culture-landscape will also find a harmony worthy of a Green Tuscany that we are progressively building».

The delivery of nuclear fuel by Westinghouse is a huge strategic success for Bulgaria
– 2024-04-23 20:05:16
The first delivery of fresh nuclear fuel produced by the Westinghouse company to the site of the Kozloduy NPP is a huge strategic success for Bulgaria. This is indeed a key stage in the long-term development of the bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA and allows the real diversification of our energy sector and the achievement of complete independence of the functioning of the Kozloduy NPP”. This was commented by the businessman and energy consultant Hristo Kovacki.
With a post on his Facebook profile, he noted that Westinghouse’s policy aimed at strategic partnership with local main suppliers deserves special congratulations. The company has memorandums of cooperation with dozens of Bulgarian companies for joint participation in the construction of the new nuclear facilities in Kozloduy.
Thousands of Bulgarian engineers, builders, workers and technical specialists are expected to be involved in the implementation of this large-scale project, and this means only one thing – more energy produced in Bulgaria, more new technologies and more jobs in our economy and more prosperity for thousands Bulgarian families, Kovacki points out.
According to him, the fruitful cooperation between “Westinghouse” and its Bulgarian partners is of crucial importance for achieving a more sustainable and secure future for our entire energy sector.
“Delivery of fresh nuclear fuel from “Westinghouse” goes beyond purely economic aspects and has important strategic importance for Bulgaria and in geopolitical terms. It is happening against the backdrop of Russia’s escalating aggression in Ukraine, which has divided the world once again. The continued strong support of the US and the EU for the cause and struggle of the Ukrainian people shows the importance of this war, not only for Ukrainians, but for all countries and societies in the world that have chosen freedom and democracy over dictatorship and authoritarianism.
In these geopolitical conditions of conflict and the practical rise of a new “Iron Curtain”, the achievement of complete independence and the diversification of supplies for the Bulgarian nuclear energy industry is an important step guaranteeing Bulgaria’s Euro-Atlantic path of development”, says Hristo Kovachki.
He describes the decision of the US House of Representatives for a powerful aid to Ukraine as important and taken at a key moment.
Who puts their hands on the deposits and what is the “fair price” for olive oil – Economic Post
– 2024-04-23 19:25:54
The new rally for liquid gold and the questions…
• Olive oil is for another season in the spotlight.
• Its skyrocketing prices have caused many consumers to lose sleep.
• And this because for many years they bought it very cheaply, as is proven today.
• The producers were permanently dissatisfied and argued that they were not going out.
• For about two years now, their pockets have been undeniably full.
• But what is a fair price? Because clearly the current situation is unsustainable.
• An experienced agent with many kilometers in the sector claims that the fair price ranges between 5 and 6 euros per kilo.
• Caution! It talks about producer price.
• Today’s levels of 9.50 euros are prohibitive. And it will inevitably lead many households to significantly reduce its consumption.
• Of course, as he says, under no circumstances should we return to prices below 3 euros.
• “The market must balance again. This situation cannot continue”, he points out in closing.
• And mind you…

Are the Greeks putting their hands on their deposits?
• After all, do the Greeks continue to put their hands on their deposits?
• It seems that many are now using deposits to make purchases and pay their obligations.
• That’s what marketers think at least, who unfortunately for them are seeing consumers lately… becoming more frugal in their purchases.
• In March especially the demand… was sluggish.
• Of course March is traditionally the worst month for the commercial world.
• And this is because Easter follows, where there is increased traffic.
• Everyone is now waiting for the Easter season to cash in…
