AstraZeneca has requested a block on the marketing of the Vaxzervria vaccine in the European Union
AstraZeneca will stop marketing its vaccine against Covid-19, Vaxzevriastarting tomorrow, Tuesday, inEuropean Union at your request. The British-Swedish company announced this in a statement. There European Commission notified on March 27 that, at the request of the owner – AstraZeneca -, will withdraw the marketing authorization for the drug starting tomorrow. AstraZeneca justifies the withdrawal with the lack of demand and the surplus of vaccines currently available on the market.
“As numerous updated vaccines have been developed for Covid-19 variants, there is now a surplus of vaccines available. This has caused a decrease in demand for Vaxzervriawhich is no longer produced or supplied”, reads the note.
The laboratory, which submitted the withdrawal request on March 5 in Brussels, welcomes the role played by Vaxzevria in putting an end to the pandemic. In this sense he underlines that “according to independent estimates, in the first year of use alone, more than 6.5 million lives were saved and more than 3 billion doses were supplied worldwide”.

The Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxy Collision Prediction: What to Expect
2. It has been predicted since the 19th century
Edwin Powell Hubble was a famous astronomer who lived between 1889 and 1953. Through his research, he discovered that the number of galaxies in the universe is countless.
In 1929, Edwin Hubble discovered that almost all galaxies were moving away from the Milky Way, except for Andromeda. At that time, Andromeda was actually moving at a speed of 110 km/h towards the Milky Way.
At this speed, astronomers predict that the two will collide in the next 4 to 5 billion years. However, these predictions were based on the knowledge and technology available at the time.
Scientists have updated Hubble’s estimates. Recent research suggests that the Milky Way and Andromeda will likely collide around 4 billion years from now.
3. The accident would disrupt the Milky Way
It appears that the Milky Way has indeed collided with several smaller galaxies. This does not have a big impact on the galaxy because the effect is not important enough.
However, considering the large size of the Andromeda galaxy, it is clear that this case of an accident will give a different story. Scientists predict that when these two giant galaxies finally meet, gravitational forces will cause the two galaxies to collapse.
There will no longer be a spiral shape as known before. Both are likely to become giant galaxies with irregular shapes over millions of years.
The Milky Way and Andromeda collide many times and disrupt each other’s star alignments. Then after 1 billion years or more, the two began to merge and form a giant elliptical galaxy.
Astronomers call this large galaxy the name Milkdromeda, which is a combination of the names Milky Way or Milky Way and Andromeda.

Serial sperm donors | A “case of public health”, according to Dubé
2024-05-07 20:09:07
(Quebec) Christian Dubé calls for the intervention of Public Health to better regulate artisanal sperm donation, after the revelations of the documentary Father of 100 children journalists Maxime Landry and Marie-Christine Bergeron on serial sperm donors. The families of these children must be informed quickly, he said.
Posted at 4:09 p.m.
The Minister of Health asked the national director of public health, Dr Luc Boileau, to provide him with advice to identify “solutions” after the revelations in the documentary Father of 100 childrenproduct by Pixcom inc. In particular, we learn that three men from the same family are the fathers of more than 600 children. Some have developed genetic diseases.
Selon Noovo Info, the donations were made in an artisanal way thanks to advertisements on the web and through an assisted procreation clinic, Procrea.
“It’s a public health issue,” said Minister Christian Dubé on Tuesday in Quebec. “You have to put yourself in the shoes of these parents, these families. This same person may have contributed more than 100 times. […] It is still a fairly important issue. I understand the questions of people who didn’t know that,” he added, referring to unknown family ties.
Mr. Dubé did not want to discuss the ways at his disposal to better regulate artisanal sperm donation. “We have to look at it more broadly,” he said.
I asked Dr. Boileau to see what our reaction might be. A regulatory reaction or I don’t know. I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Boileau, he will come up with something.
Christian Dubé, Minister of Health
In an interview with Noovo Info, Dr. Boileau indicated that Public Health is seeking to reduce the risks associated with artisanal sperm donations, in particular to set a maximum number of donations per person. Work is underway with Health Canada experts.
