Apple’s news widget has disappeared for many iPhone users in the past few days. If you don’t want to miss out on news, you’ll find an alternative at t-online.
Many iPhone owners have recently said goodbye to the cell phone manufacturer’s news widget. It has simply disappeared from many smartphones – apparently automatically and without user influence – as Apple users report in internet forums and social media. The reason is unknown. Apple has not yet commented.
If you don’t want to miss out on current news, you have an alternative with the widget in the t-online app. The function makes the most important news visible directly on the home screen. This makes it very easy to install.
Step-by-step instructions
The first requirement for the t-online widget on the iPhone is of course the t-online app itself. It can be installed directly from the App Store and is free. If you are already using the app, first make sure that the current version is installed. To do this, open the App Store and enter “t-online” in the search field. The “t-online news” app should appear as one of the first hits. If the app is up to date, “Open” appears next to the app name; if there is an update, it says “Update”.
If the current app version is installed, you can now start setting up the widget:
Touch and hold any app icon or folder on the Home screen until a menu appears. Then tap “Edit Home Screen” in the menu.
- A “+” symbol now appears in the upper right corner of the display. Tap on it. A window opens where you can select the widget you want to add to the home screen. Enter “t-online” in the search field.
- Tap on the t-online app symbol – a view of the t-online widget opens. Tap “Add Widget.”
- The t-online widget is now on the home screen. Now proceed in the same way as if you wanted to rearrange an app: place your finger on the widget, leave your finger there and slide the widget to the desired location on the home screen.
- The widget can also be placed on one of the back pages of the home screen. If you are satisfied with the position, tap “Done” in the top right corner.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk launched another shock treatment this week when he announced that he would be laying off the entire Supercharger Group team, including CEO Rebecca Tinucci. As Road and Track magazine also wrote, there are around 500 people in total.
According to the CNN server, the move, prompted by Musk’s attempt to save money, worried the American industry, whose task is to build a new American network of chargers for electric cars. A fast and reliable charging network is an essential component for drivers to switch from gas to electric vehicles.
The plan for a rapid transition to electricity was also supported by US President Joe Biden, who set the goal of installing half a million stations in the US by the end of the decade and allocated $7.5 billion (175 billion crowns) aspect for network development in a system of indirect subsidies. So Musk’s decision will complicate the ongoing election campaign for the American president and will hurt Donald Trump, who is a big opponent of electromobility.
Tesla received more money from federal contracts for charging stations than any other company (about 14% of the total), according to CNN, and now it is unclear whether it will be able to complete the contracted work or not. the contracts to another end. companies.
Musk’s decision is unbelievable to the public and experts.
Until recently, Tesla played a leading role in the development of charging stations. Many EV experts and drivers are convinced that Tesla’s chargers are well-placed, fast and reliable, so much so that other car companies are changing their charging plugs to fit Tesla’s system. At the same time, the majority of car companies operating in North America are changing to the NACS cost standard developed and developed by Tesla.
Tesla still plans to grow the Supercharger network, just at a slower pace for new locations and more focus on 100% uptime and expansion of existing locations.
– Elon Musk (@elonmusk) 30/04/2024
According to the server fDrive, by firing the entire team, Musk made the entire electric car community uncertain, which now does not know how to proceed with the development of the network on which it depends. After criticism about his move on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Musk said that Tesla will continue to build Superchargers, but only more slowly.
A spokesperson for the Joint Energy and Transportation Administration, which runs the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, told CNN that 10 US states have selected Tesla as a provider of charging projects. At the moment, it is not clear whether Tesla will see them to the end, since the operators of these programs are special states, but it should not have a fatal effect.
“Because NEVI provides grants to states that bid for individual program providers, we do not expect that the decision of one particular company will affect the development of other projects,” said the spokesperson.
Others in the industry said Tesla’s loss would not be a major blow to the development of electromobility. “There are many, many charging companies,” an electric vehicle industry source told CNN. “It’s not like the money is going to Tesla or anywhere. The only thing that changes is a- now who will get those awards,” he said.
The belief that, despite the dispersal of the Tesla team, that competing companies can continue to develop electromobility is strengthened by the fact that dozens of top experts are now on the free labor market, on which the -a very happy competition to reach.
“In the end, it may benefit the entire market because it’s not in the public interest for one company to be so dominant,” Daniel Sperling, founding director of the Institute for Transportation Studies at the University of California Davis, “The good news is that this will encourage all of these charging companies, as well as the car manufacturers, to redouble their investment in creating a reliable charging system.”
And the fact that there are many more players in the electric car charging field may be one of the things that made Musk withdraw significantly from the field, electric car industry analyst Loren McDonald told the US site. “Tesla can slow down a little bit, be a lot more strategic and eventually shift some of the investment and responsibility onto the shoulders of others,” McDonald said.

HP Omen Transcend 14: The Most Beautiful Gaming Laptop in the World – Review and Performance Analysis
2024-05-05 12:00:00
As much as I like our editors’ favorite test laptop, the Lenovo Legion 5, and as much as I like the performance of the MSI Titan 18HX, I don’t like their looks. The designs are mostly ugly. The exhaust pipes on the back look like Transformers details, while the keycaps are decorated with letters in a Terminator 2 font. It’s fierce, that’s it. For me, as an almost 100-year-old gamer with a certain sense of design and a penchant for fashion, taking these computers out in public is downright embarrassing. This is where HP comes in again. Having cleaned up their design department following the release of the superb 45L, they have now taken another big step forward in terms of design for gaming laptops. Transcend is a new line of computers that goes beyond and surpasses anything they’ve done before in terms of clean, sleek and successful minimalism. All categories combined, this is quite simply the most beautiful gaming laptop in the world.
Inspired by the Mac Book Pro and it’s easy to see why. Apple’s Cupertino-based Jony Ive designs stand out across the segment, and it’s these lines, shapes, proportions and even details that HP’s design arm has attempted to emulate. Transcend 14 is ultra-thin and neat, with elegant rounded edges and perfect proportions. The aluminum casing is finished in a sleek dark gray metallic color and the bezel itself around the screen is very thin.
Inside the computer we’ve been testing for the past five weeks is an Intel Core Extreme 9 185H processor, 32GB of RAM, a 2TB SSD, and an RTX4070. The 14-inch wide screen is OLED, with a 120 Hz panel (2880 x 1800). , and response times are 0.2 milliseconds. In other words, lightning fast. Based on our five rounds running a variety of games from 100 to 1 percent, the battery lasted about four hours per charge (HP claims 8 hours and 33 minutes, but that may only apply to games or less demanding text editing), and the screen itself is an Imax Ready screen, thanks to its 16:10 ratio. HyperX (which HP now owns) takes care of the sound, delivered in the DTS X Ultra or Hyper X Ultra via two stereo speakers. This computer weighs 1.63 kilograms, which is very light, and the folded height is only 1.69 centimeters. It’s very thin but stays cool during tough gaming sessions.
Performance-wise, it’s not bad either. It will get spanked by the Razer Blade 14 and others in some games, but in our experience it will reappear in other games as well, allowing them to display an equal number of frames per second to the screen. For example, in Cyberpunk 2077, the Transcend 14 can achieve 40-42fps at 1080p, while the Razer Blade 14 can only achieve 34-38fps. The same goes for Call of Duty: Warzone 3.0, where Omen beats Razer, while the opposite is true in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Overall, the Transcend 14 performed very well in all the games we tested, remaining relatively cool and, importantly, quiet even under maximum load.
Here is an announcement:
The keyboard is another really nice aspect of this computer. I like the feel of the keys, and like I said, I also like that it doesn’t feel like an RGB fountain with the “hard” ending font and all that other gorm. The best thing about the Transcend 14, however, is the screen. I’ve never seen such a good OLED display on a laptop, especially when it comes to HDR hardware, and it manages to look this convincing. There’s no doubt in my mind that HP has done a great job with the first computer in its new product line, and I’d love to keep this slim, powerful, beautiful case and mesmerize the HP press department. May they never forget that we have it here.
