Apple suffered a major setback after releasing an iOS beta update that literally broke iPhones. The manufacturer has already blocked the ability to download the software, but some people are left with smartphones that won’t start.
After releasing the update to iOS 17.3 (for iPhones) and iPadOS 17.3 (for iPads) in the beta 2 version, Apple (not the first) suffered a serious failure. The new system was supposed to bring new features and fix bugs, but it caused some problems. Users in significant problems.

The new iOS update has broken some iPhones. There is a reaction from Apple
This is how he writes, among other things: On the website MacRumors.com, users in forums and social media are alarmed that the new version of the system has involved iPhones in the so-called bootloop, that is, constantly repeated attempts to load the system. In such a situation, the smartphone cannot complete the OS boot and repeats the attempt every time, making it completely useless. Some people only see a charging circle on their iPhone screens.
Interestingly, in most cases, the problems occurred with users using the Back Tap feature, which allows you to quickly use some options by touching the back of the iPhone. Apple quickly responded to these reports, blocking the ability to download the update just three hours after deploying the system. The company also promises to analyze the causes of the error and release the system again in version 17.3 after making appropriate corrections. However, when this will happen has not been announced.
The issue only affects people who downloaded the system update in the second beta version, which is likely a fairly small group of people who signed up for the beta testing program. Apple is therefore fortunate that the problem did not appear in the final (available to everyone) version of the software, but the company should have thoroughly checked the system to avoid such a mishap.
It is currently unknown what will happen to the smartphones of people whose iPhones froze while installing the update. It seems that the only way to fix the problem at the moment is to reset the smartphone to factory settings (via computer) and then install a backup copy after the system boots. However, it seems that people who do not have a recent backup lose the data stored on their iPhones.
