All necessary arrangements are being made to accommodate guests attending COP29.
As Day.Az reported on Wednesday with reference to Trend, this was announced today at the event of the Tourism Development working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the topic “Status of implementation of the Action Plan for 2023 and upcoming priorities”, the Head of the Office said State Tourism Agency Kanan Gasimov.
He noted that the COP29 event is the largest in terms of the number of participants.
“Azerbaijan began the preparation process after receiving the right to host this event and is making serious efforts to host COP29 along with other events that it is hosting so far,” he stressed.
Gasimov expressed hope that no problems will arise in this regard.
“There are two directions of these measures. On the one hand, organizational work, and on the other, political messages that we convey more through content, and the question of what contribution we will make to climate change around the world. The State Tourism Agency organized the work in both directions.
We have established cooperation with the tourism organization and other interested international organizations to accommodate future guests, organize coordination work in this direction, as well as to reduce the impact of the climate change fund on tourism, and we continue to work quickly in this direction. We do our job in such a way that no problems arise later. We are also considering alternative options in case difficulties arise with hotels and other accommodations. All necessary measures are being taken to accommodate future guests,” he added.
