Newsylist real-time news trend intelligence

About Newsylist

A trend engine that watches the world's news — and itself.

Newsylist is a self-evolving trend intelligence engine. Every hour it reads the global news cycle across world affairs, business, technology, science, health, sports and entertainment. When enough independent newsrooms converge on the same story, Newsylist recognizes a trend, measures how fast it spreads, and creates a permanent page for it — a page that keeps updating for as long as the story lives.

What makes Newsylist different is that it is accountable to its own record. Each day it predicts which of its live trends will still be trending tomorrow. The next day it checks the answer and publishes the result — right on the trend's page, correct or wrong. The accuracy score in the vital signs below is computed from every prediction Newsylist has ever made. No cherry-picking: wrong calls stay visible forever.

The archive never shrinks. Every trend page remains as a record of what the world was reading on that day, building a public encyclopedia of attention. You can browse it by day or by topic, subscribe to the RSS feed, or consume the data programmatically via the free JSON API (cite "Newsylist" with a link).

The scoring is fully public — read the methodology. Newsylist is part of the BYO network and lives at newsylist.com.
