“Rubene” defeats the people of Valmiera and becomes leader
With 15 points, “Rubene” is the leader of the Latvian-Estonian floorball league, which defeated the team “FBK Valmiera/Betsafe” 6:5 in the Kocēni sports hall this evening. Dāvis Zēmelis was the most productive in the winning team with 3 (2+1) points.
“Rubene” hosted the “FBK Valmiera/Betsafe” team at the Kocēni sports house. In the 5th minute, visiting team striker Guido Lauga opened the score (1:0), but after the first half the scoreboard declared a fighting draw (1:1) when Kočenias Gustavs Siliņš responded with a goal. Valmiera’s floorball players continued to lead 3-2, but at the second break the home team had a two-goal lead – 5-3. In the final third, “FBK Valmiera/Betsafe” reduced the difference to the minimum twice, but “Rubene” celebrated the victory 6:5.
Kārli Dūmiņa was recognized as the best among the winners with 2 (1+1) points, the same number of points as Gustav Siliņi, but the most productive with 3 (2+1) points was Dāvis Zēmelis. Arvis Kārkliņš was the most productive in the Valmiera team with 3 (2+1) points, who received the best player award. Guido Lauga scored two goals, but Daniels Urbanovics stood out with 2 (1+1) points. After this victory, Kocēnu “Rubene” became the leader of the tournament table with 15 points. The team “FBK Valmiera/Betsafe” still has seven points and is in last place.
