Iran says it will not revise its nuclear doctrine or build a nuclear weapon

Therefore, it is said that neither the defense doctrine will be reviewed nor the creation of an atomic weapon. In making this statement, the spokesman rejected a controversial statement by one of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard commanders.

Ahmad Hagh Taleb, the commander of the Guards responsible for the country’s nuclear security, claimed last week that Iran could be on a new course for its nuclear program. If Israel threatens attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities and thus tries to put pressure on the country, then a “revision of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear doctrine and policy” is “possible and possible,” Taleb told Tasnim. Recently, tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated sharply.

Iran has so far insisted that the country does not seek to build a nuclear weapon, even for religious reasons. Tehran relied on a fatwa issued by Iran’s supreme religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in which he banned both the development and use of weapons of mass destruction. Khamenei, 85, is the country’s leader and, according to Iran’s constitution, has the final say on all strategic matters.
