Suddenly something seemed to wake me up,
Niu Niu When I got home, I took Wang Bao to drink water. After taking a few sips, he suddenly seemed to gag and continued to foam and foam… I intuitively replied, “Stay with her and let her know that it’s you, everyone here…”

Maybe it’s just a temporary discomfort, maybe it’s…?
I’m not a doctor so I can’t judge, but if I were I would always stay with her, touch her, hug her… to make her feel safe and to comfort myself even when I’m sorry for Wang Bao’s discomfort. OK, that’s what I do.

Megaesophagus is a disease in which movement (movement, muscle contraction) of the esophagus is restricted or absent. The esophagus is the tube that carries food and water from the throat to the stomach. With megaesophagus, it becomes difficult to move food completely into the stomach, and food may be spit out into the back of the throat or aspirated into the lungs, resulting in aspiration pneumonia.Decreased esophageal motility often leads to dilatation of the esophagus. This is usually due to an underlying neurological abnormality. The disease is characterized by hypomotility and dilatation of the esophagus, progressive reflux, and deterioration in physical condition. Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, excessive salivation, coughing, belching, and weight loss.

Megaesophagus can be the result of various diseases. Obstructive diseases, muscle and neurological disorders, and certain toxins can cause macrorexia in dogs. Some of the more common reasons include:
Myasthenia gravis:It is the most common cause of megaesophagus in dogs and the first disease to be ruled out. Myasthenia gravis is a disease in which the nerve-muscle connection is immunologically destroyed. The signals that the nervous system sends to coordinate the contraction of the esophageal muscles are simply not received by the muscles. Megaesophagus is one of its classic symptoms, although it is usually accompanied by general weakness of skeletal muscles. This condition is treatable and usually goes away, but special tests are required to confirm it. Approximately 25% of dogs with acquired megaesophagus suffer from myasthenia gravis.
Adrenocortical insufficiency (Addison’s disease):Also associated with megaesophagus. This condition represents a lack of cortisone production by the adrenal glands, which alters the metabolism of the esophageal muscles.
Autonomic nervous system disorder: In animals with dysautonomia, the incidence of megaesophagus is 60% and typically affects dogs living in rural areas. Complete destruction of the entire autonomic nervous system results in dysuria, mydriasis, colonic laxity (megacolon), anal laxity, tear production, and megaesophagus. It is unlikely that the treatment will be successful. Therefore, it is helpful to recognize this series of signs from the beginning so that euthanasia can be considered. Tests for autonomic dysfunction include stimulating the autonomic nervous system with medications and checking for reactions (increased heart rate from atropine injection, constriction of pupils from pilocarpine eye drops, etc.).
Some other causes include esophagitis, botulism and tetanus, lead poisoning, hypothyroidism and esophageal cancer.

Symptoms of megaesophagus in dogs
The main symptom of megaesophagus is reflux. Reflux is the involuntary vomiting of food or water that occurs shortly after eating or drinking. And vomiting is an active process. Gagging, vomiting, and retching occur when the body actively expels stomach contents. In addition, there is a feeling of nausea, and vomiting may be preceded by salivation or lip licking. Common clinical symptoms of megaesophagus in dogs include: reflux/drooling/dysphagia/weakness/weight loss

One of my family members[Maxue]

One night eight years ago, I received a call from Amu, choking with sobs, saying, “Maxue is gone.”
I asked confused, “Why?” What’s going on?” I didn’t live at home at that time, so I left Ma Xue and Michelle to the care of my family! ! In the past few days, I didn’t know anything about it, which made Ma Xue uncomfortable…

Now I accompany Michelle twice as often and pay even more attention to the regret of not being with my brother Ma Xue. Michelle also works harder than her brother and lives longer than her brother. However, he cannot hear sounds, is elderly, has no teeth, has muscle wasting and an irregular heartbeat. He is worried about the discomfort and worry caused by cold weather. Will Michelle have bleeding in her stool, blood in her urine, ischemia, anemia, dizziness, etc.?

When Michelle woke up, she picked him up and walked around the living room with non-slip mats. When he was tired, she hugged him, lay on her body, and let Michelle sleep peacefully. After a while she gently put him down. Let him continue to rest in bed, day after day, day after day, day after day… Every day I think to myself: “If one day you can’t sleep like that, then run happy!”(But I still don’t want to experience the time when you can’t get up…)

This is for your own good

–There is no medicine for regret in life.If you regret not seeing him more, regret not spending more time with him, regret not taking a photo with him, regret not noticing his discomfort sooner… what’s the use it to you? ?

One of my family members[Michelle]

Recently, my colleague’s mother suffered from headaches and was found to have a tumor compressing her brain. She underwent nearly four months of surgery and is now at home recovering. A colleague mentioned that my mother seemed to have changed and was treating her like a child.

Reminds me of the time when my father was in therapy. I used mine【Understanding】When you look at everything and face the person who is called “dad”, he is your father and you should act like your father, the tone of your father’s words, the things your father likes and the things that He doesn’t like it as if… But it’s as if a stab in the head changed everything…

– As I walked up and down the hospital corridors, the ward doors opened one by one! I asked, “Dad, what are you doing?” Dad said, “I’m going to my work table!”

——When I saw that there were more than 20 stitches on the scalp, but my father was sleeping and scratching as usual, I asked: “Doesn’t it hurt?” Dad said: “Yes, why doesn’t it hurt?”

——My father, who was force-fed through a feeding tube, always says when my mother goes home to shower: “Bring me scallion pancakes!” “Bring me omelette rice!”

——The father who is recovering at home is afraid that no one will notice if his father calls for someone! So I bought a wireless bell and stuck the button on the handle next to the bed. One day the bell kept ringing! My mother and I burst into my father’s room at the same time and asked, “What’s wrong?” Dad said, “Oh, wow!”

More than two years have passed, and although it still hurts, at least I have no regrets and I’m in good company…

Find fun in life!
Fearing that Michelle would develop megaesophagus, Michelle wanted to sleep peacefully after eating! I asked Michelle to lie down on a slightly tilted pillow, hoping that the food wouldn’t stay in the esophagus! But while I was waiting, I suddenly wanted to go to the toilet!
He grabbed another pillow and padded Michelle’s butt to prevent Michelle from sliding off! Go to the bathroom first and get a quick fix!
Unexpectedly, when I saw this scene after returning to the room, I was still laughing → took a photo with my phone → and then picked Michelle up again… XD.

All this “grinding” is to prevent me from regretting my life.
