Why does Glucksmann prefer L’Oréal to Decathlon, Israel to Picardy?

1704533232
On December 11, 2023, Raphaël Glucksmann wrote a threatening letter to Fabien Derville, president of Decathlon, a large sports and leisure distribution company in Picardy.

There we can read: “Several million Uyghurs are being deported by the Chinese regime, not because of their actions, but because of their identity”1.

The great Bertha of lies follows: Concentration camps, rebels condemned to death, sterilizations, forced abortions, mass rapes, children taken from their parents, destruction of mosques, women forced to share their beds with emissaries of the Communist Party, slavery, etc… It’s cheesy, it burns your eyes.

However, Glucksmann protests, Decathlon is one of the companies that “ Benefit from Uyghur slavery ». That’s why he’s asking Decathlon’s president to cut ties with Xinjiang.

I then also wrote to the President of Decathlon to contradict Glucksmann, with the support of eminent American intellectuals, the State Department law firm and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) of the United Nations, which launched a… investigation in Xinjiang in May 2022. Michèle Bachelet, who led the UN team, and her successor Volker Türk reject everything Glucksmann 2 claims.

Furthermore, I argued that slavery does not exist in Xinjiang: no international organization supports this claim. Glucksmann quotes to support his lies “various studies” (which ones?) and a “Report Australia”. It doesn’t say it’s an ASPI report (Australian Strategic Policy Institute), an organization that specializes in fake news about China and says it receives hundreds of thousands of dollars from the United States, paid for by the State Department.

In addition, I reported to the President of Decathlon that I took part in the Paris on November 14th “Forum on 60 years of relations between China and France”. I heard Jean-Pierre Raffarin there (via video) and met, among others, MM. Philippe Houzé, CEO of Galeries Lafayette Group, Jean-Paul Agon, President of L’Oréal, François Février, CEO of Suez-Asia, François Marion, member the Executive Committee of Valeo Group, etc.
Everyone has understood that our country’s interest is not to give in to a smokescreen that forces us to cede our place to our European and American competitors.
In short, I concluded that the interest of the Uyghurs, France and Decathlon is that Glucksmann’s injunctions are not implemented.

I was there when this question came to me: Are there many French companies present in China? Why attack Decathlon?

In the list (below) I noted the absence of Decathlon. The group is not listed on the stock exchange, but is owned by a family shareholder base made up of three groups: the family of the former founding president, employees and the Mulliez family.

On the other hand, we will note (without coughing glucksman) the presence of L’Oréal in China and Israel. L’Oréal has invested heavily in Israel, establishing a manufacturing facility in Migdal Haemeck, a town in Israel’s Northern District, on a site where the Palestinian village of Al-Mujaydil was located before 1950. Afterwards, the American Jewish Congress expressed its satisfaction at the sight of L’Oréal “Become a warm friend of the State of Israel.” Is this why this company is not in Glucksman’s sights, even though it is ubiquitous in China and can even be found in Xinjiang? Better yet, in the forum mentioned above, I could hear the President of L’Oréal, Jean-Paul Agon, kindly addressing and listening to His Excellency Lu Shaye, the Chinese Ambassador to France. These meetings and these exchanges do not relax Glucksmann.

I derive two Glucksmann rules
:

1- Any French company with a strong presence in Israel, in a village stolen from Palestine, has the right to collaborate with the Chinese and even with the Uyghurs.
2- Any French company based in the north of France (in Picardy) but not in Israel does not have the right to work with the Chinese and especially the Uyghurs.

If we add that Glucksmann just explained: “When I go to New York or Berlin, I feel culturally more comfortable than in Picardy”the circle of his patriotism, his sincerity is closed.

Since we all know Glucksmann’s increased interest in workers’ rights around the world, we can be sure that he will pounce when he reads this: In November 2023, Rima Hassan, a French-Palestinian lawyer, was fired from her job by ‘Oréal’ Contract suspended “Expert member of the Global Council for Diversity and Inclusion” because of his positions on the war against Palestine. If (which puts L’Oréal in a tricky situation), condemned it “Hamas war crimes”she also denounced “Israel’s impunity” and that “Genocide” Palestinians.
We’re listening to you, Rapha.

Remarks.
1- He did not dare to use the figure of 3 million that he proposed if he believes that his audience will swallow it.
2- I show this in detail in a book that will be published in the spring.

If you feel like it, you should boycott Israeli products:

Carmel (fruits and vegetables) – Jaffa (fruits and vegetables) – Kedem (avocados) – Coral (cherries) – Top (fruits and vegetables) – Beigel (aperitif cookies) – Hasat (citrus fruits) – Sabra (complete meals) – Osem (soups , snacks, biscuits, complete ready meals) – Dagir (canned fish) – Holyland (honey, herbs) – Amba (preserved) – Green Valley (wine) – Tivall (vegetarian products) – Agrofresh (cucumbers) – Jordan Valley (dates) – Dana (cherry tomatoes) – Epilady (hair removal devices) – Ahava (Dead Sea cosmetics).
