Volvo has started delivering the EX30 in Europe

There are increasing signs that the Swedish (Chinese) Volvo has positioned itself very well and at the right time in relation to the EX30. Already at the time of the presentation, many people were demanding static presentations and organized test drives, which is no wonder, as Volvo Cars has produced an excellently designed electric car that demonstrates great technological know-how.

There’s a good chance that this is also the reason the EX30 was what we know it as today. The SEA platform (Sustainable Experience Architecture) developed by Geely now forms the basis for brands within the group such as ZEEKR. After the presentation last summer, Volvo saw that many people would buy the EX30. Knowledge and price – 14,490,000 HUF – is also fine in the case of the car, so the demand for the type did not persist, which did not disappear even after the initial large increases. On the other hand. The EX30 is so successful that after China it is also produced in Europe.

This means that the sales targets set for the model last year were already achieved before the end of the year and it is assumed that demand for the EX30 will not decrease this year either, the first examples of which fortunately arrived at the end of December for European customers.

These pieces were still made in China and arrived on ships to the Old Continent, but from 2025 production will also begin in the brand’s factory in Belgium, so it is expected that waiting times will also be significantly reduced. The good news was accompanied by a short press release from the brand, in which we can read that the first customers residing in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal were able to take delivery of their Volvo EX30 electric car.

The Volvo EX30 can be purchased with one or two engines, in the former case with LFP (CATL) cells and in the latter case with NMC cells. The available capacities are:

  • 51 kWh-S (49 kWh net) – 344 km WLTP
  • 69 kWh-S (64 kWh net) – 480 km WLTP

When charging, the NMC battery versions have a maximum DC charging power of 153 kW and it takes 26.5 minutes to charge the EX30 from 10 to 80 percent. The LFP battery version can charge up to 134 kW and takes 26 minutes to charge to 80 percent. The AC charging is 11 kW.
