Files have been leaked regarding a modification that allows you to “upgrade” FSR 2 technology to FSR 3. Thanks to the modification, it is possible to activate the Frame Generation function, which works not only with AMD but also with NVIDIA graphics cards.
Mod to activate FSR 3 in games with FSR 2
This is not the first time we have written about modifications that allow certain changes in the upscaling technology used. There have already been methods of replacing DLSS with FSR 2 technology, for example in Dying Light 2, and vice versa, for example in Starfield. Now a modification has been leaked that allows AMD FSR 3 to be enabled in games that support FSR 2. The advantages include, among others, the ability to activate the Frame Generation function, which generates additional frames. And although NVIDIA also offers a similar solution, AMD’s proposal has a significant advantage. This is about extensive compatibility with graphics cards. NVIDIA’s Frame Generation only supports GeForce RTX 40 series models. Red technology supports Radeon 5000 series cards and competing GeForce RTX 2000 family cards.
Now a modification has been leaked that allows AMD FSR 3 to be enabled in games that support FSR 2.
In addition, a recording even appeared on the Internet in which the author runs FSR 3 with Frame Generation technology on GeFroce GTX 10 series graphics cards. During testing, it turned out that activating FG, despite the lack of official support, led to a significant increase in the number of images generated per second. The support or lack thereof of FSR 3 can in some cases determine whether a particular production plays smoothly or not.
