Christmas is the festival of love when families come together and our loved ones sit happily around the tree. Until now, Kata Mulatós loved this holiday precisely because all four of her children were at home with her at that time. But in July this idyll was shattered forever: his beloved five-year-old son died of early pneumonia. The loss of the always smiling Mikike affected not only the fun-loving singer, but also her siblings, who light a candle for her at home every day.

There is no greater pain than when a parent buries their child. Kata Mulatós can’t even bear the grief; she feels like she will never be able to come to terms with the loss of her five-year-old son. Mikike was bedridden and required round-the-clock monitoring due to medical malpractice, but her condition did not justify her death.
“His throat started to hurt, but according to the emergency room, I just made the problem worse, they didn’t come out,” Kata remembers. “Mikikem got worse and worse, I finally picked him up and went to the hospital, where it turned out he had early pneumonia, but then they couldn’t save his life… I was with him the whole time, I will never forget his little face wracked with pain. My heart broke as his heart died for the last time, bang! I haven’t found peace since then, not a minute goes by when I don’t think about him, I miss him so much. I just can’t seem to calm myself down, I’ll never be calm again, he shouldn’t have died, if the ER had come out then, if he’d been given antibiotics he could still be alive now!”

As Kata tries to support herself because of her other two minor children, she can’t help but break down. He wants to fill Christmas with magic, but doesn’t know if he’ll succeed.
