Interior Minister Ali YerlikayaIn his post on his social media account, he explained that they target organized crime that disturbs public peace and those who supply them with weapons.
Stating that an operation was organized in this context by the Istanbul, Adana, Aydın, Rize and Batman Provincial Gendarmerie Commands and the Karaman Police Department, Yerlikaya gave the following information:
“During the Lens-10 operations, 12 people were arrested and 93 unlicensed weapons were seized. During the searches, 65 barrels, 77 various weapon parts and assemblies, 48 weapon magazines and 237 cartridges that could be converted into weapons were seized. I congratulate our heroic gendarmerie and our heroic police officers who carried out the operations. “May God not allow stones to touch their feet. Our nation’s prayers are with you and our fight against those who supply illicit weapons and gun smugglers will continue with determination.”
