Thiruvananthapuram – CPI has demanded that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should not contest from Wayanad in this year’s Lok Sabha elections. CPI state secretary Binoy Vishwam demanded that the Congress should decide whether to shift the battleground to Kerala. He asked whether Rahul Gandhi should leave north India, the main battleground, and contest in Wayanad, where not a single BJP candidate has won yet. Binoy Vishwam also said in the press conference that he would raise the matter if he gets an opportunity to discuss it at the India Front meeting.

The CPI is not just thinking about four seats in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Left Party wants to win all 20 seats in Kerala. The Bharatiya Janata Party should topple the BJP government at the Centre. All 20 MPs in Kerala must be left-wing if India wants to form a coalition government. If it comes to Congress, they will fall for BJP’s tactics. Binoy Vishwam also pointed out that the Left will not fall for tricks or money grabs.
