– 2024-04-25 11:12:01

Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, during a speech in Abu Dhabi at the IRENA event, expressed confidence that the most pressing issues related to the global climate agenda will be raised during COP29, Day.Az reported on Wednesday with reference to Trend.

“This year in Azerbaijan at COP29 the success that was achieved during COP28 in Dubai (on addressing climate issues) will continue. I am confident that in Baku at COP29 we will promote the most pressing issues for success, including the issue of financing ( measures to mitigate climate change), which is important,” Shahbazov emphasized.

In his opinion, the new collective goal on climate protection is extremely important.

“COP29 will also serve as an excellent platform for discussing the development of steps on green hydrogen. Azerbaijan is determined to contribute to the implementation of climate and green energy goals. Azerbaijan is ready at COP29 to be a driving force for global solidarity in the fight against climate change.” , added Shahbazov.
