Vendula Pizingerová (51), widow of the composer Karel Svoboda, seems to be living her dream. For Life in the Stars, she talked about living with her young husband, coping with a child in her 50s and being boxed in because of her partners her entire life.

She enjoyed a warm vacation during the cold months with her young son and two friends. She left her husband Josef (35) and her son Kuba at home with the late Karel Svoboda. “We lead a beautiful, happy life. Jakub is now an adult and has started studying graphics, so we will see how he does,” said Kapka Nadeje Pizingerová, president of the foundation.

Her relationship with her husband previously shocked the public because Josef is the son of Vendula’s former best friend. Years later, it still works for her. With Josef, Pizingerová, who took his name after the wedding, got a new chance at love. Today they are raising three-year-old Pepík together.

Although she definitely doesn’t look her age despite all the tragedies life has thrown at her, she’s not the type to worry about her age. “I was the oldest mother at the event with my son in kindergarten, which was a terrible realization. But if you are physically strong enough to do it and can pass on something beautiful that you have within you to a child and show them the world, then it is a gift,” she said.

“If you happen to decide to have a younger partner in your life, it’s even more difficult. But for women, I think it’s not about hiding how old you are, but about having different experiences at that age. “This youth” and your liveliness is written in your eyes and your face,” emphasized Pizingerová.

People always looked down on them because of their partners’ ages. “My first husband was 33 years older than me and Josef is 16 years younger, which on this timeline is about a 50 year age difference. That time has shifted, but the perception has not changed. When you’re younger than your partner, people “You’ve been looking through your fingers. If you are older than your partner, you are stupid. “In the beginning, no one gave any of these relationships a chance,” said Pizingerová, describing her plight.

In her opinion, society’s image of women is to blame. “A woman is always valued more than a man. Everyone has to deal with this on their own and be themselves. And in a society, it’s sometimes difficult to be yourself,” she added.

In the run-up to the Christmas holidays, there was increasing talk about the brilliant composer’s widow. Svoboda’s son Petr decided to rekindle the family history and disputes in a book about his father. A month ago, Petr mentioned for Život ve hvězdách that relations with Vendula were at freezing point. She refused to comment on the matter.
