“The 24th At approximately 2:30 a.m. (Sanaa time) on January 1, US Central Command forces attacked two Houthi anti-ship missiles that were aimed at the southern Red Sea and were ready to be fired. “U.S. forces have identified missiles in Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen and determined that they pose an imminent threat to commercial and U.S. Navy vessels in the region,” CENTCOM said.

CENTCOM called the action self-defense. “The action made international waters safer and protected the right to freedom of navigation,” CENTCOM said.

Operations against the Houthis continue as the first joint US-British attack on January 11 failed to stop the Houthis from continuing to attack ships in the Red Sea. This Monday the British and Americans attacked together again.

Six places were hit, and for the first time a warehouse that was located at a great depth was hit. CENTCOM said it was chosen because it “contained much more advanced conventional weapons” than those in the warehouses attacked in January, Defense One reported.

The operation against the Houthis has already been named, CNN reported, citing two American officials. According to them, it is called “Operation Poseidon’s Archer.”

Second round. The USA and Great Britain again attacked Houthi positions
