Soon OnePlus will announce more interesting smartphones. The model will arrive in China Ace 3, but globally both the flagship OnePlus 12 and the cheaper version of the 12R series would be launched. The latter would be a renamed terminal in Europe. Its specifications were recently leaked on the internet and today the phone received teasers from the company. The design is revealed, some features are confirmed and we even learn that it will get a flagship OLED display. Please find details below.
The panel used by OnePlus for the Ace 3 12R, would be an OLED 8T LTPO from BOE. It’s the same panel used on the flagship OnePlus 12, and it looks like it will hit 800 nits in manual mode or 1600 nits in automatic mode. At its peak it even sets a record – 4500 nits. By the way, the panel received an A+ rating from DisplayMate.
I would say that in this case we are dealing with the “vanilla” variant of the OnePlus 12 series. The 12R variant is coming in January and gets an aluminum frame + glass panel at the back.
It looks similar to the flagship OnePlus 12, only there are some differences at the hardware level. New, interesting colors also appear, Blue And Bronze + a sandstone variant with a matt finish. The phone has a mute button on the right side and there is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor under the hood.
In addition to this model, the OnePlus Buds 3 headphones will also be presented.
