Southeast Network, January 8 (Fujian Daily Reporter Bian Junkai) On January 7, to commemorate the 170th birthday of Mr. Yan Fu, the “Mr. Comes Home – Special Exhibition on Yan Fu and Modern Chinese Celebrities” held at South Back Street, Sanfang Qixiang, Fuzhou The exhibition hall was opened. This exhibition mainly focuses on the calligraphy and painting works of Yan Fu and modern Chinese celebrities, historical relics and published documents. It is sponsored by the Fuzhou Sanfangqixiang Historical and Cultural Research Association and the Fuzhou Famous City Protection and Development Co., Ltd. hosted and operated by Fuzhou Sanfangqixiang Protection Development Co., Ltd. Co., Ltd. and the Fuzhou Yanfu Painting and Calligraphy Museum.
According to reports, this exhibition is divided into three levels: “Awakening Mountains and Rivers with the Pen – Yan Fu and His Era”, “Half of Modern History – Yan Fu and Modern Fujian Celebrities” and “When the Stars Shine – Yan Fu “. and Modern Chinese Celebrities”, focusing on Yan Fu’s relationship with the celebrity groups in modern China, and deeply reflecting on how modern Chinese celebrities have influenced the times through their works, words, deeds, thoughts, etc. In the exhibition, the audience can see rare authentic exhibits by Yan Fu and many modern Chinese celebrities, including original calligraphy, paintings, letters and other inks, as well as original versions of Yan Fu’s classical translations. The figures involved in this exhibition include Yan Fu’s Fujian friends Shen Baozhen, Chen Baochen, Lin Shu, Chen Yan, Lin Changmin, Lin Xu, Sa Zhenbing, etc., as well as modern Chinese celebrities Guo Songtao, Wu Rulun, Kang Youwei, Liang Qichao etc.
In addition, there are many important historical relics related to Yan Fu at the exhibition site, including an original music box from the Republic of China that plays China’s first national anthem “Gong Jin Ou” composed by Yan Fu. Also on display are the latest book series “Yan Fu’s Calligraphy Collection”, “Yan Fu’s Classical Quotes”, “Yan Fu’s Calligraphy World” and other book series on display, which fully showcase Yan Fu’s great achievements in the art of calligraphy. is one of the latest achievements of Yan Fu’s research.
It is reported that this exhibition is open to the public and will last for 25 days from January 7th to 31st.
